LOVE EXPOSED
Love Exposed
Love Exposed is a tragicomic documentary about love, creativity, and the longing for closeness. Blanka, a successful film editor and mother of three, tries to reconnect with her dominant father, a man of the “last century,” but also an internationally acclaimed nude photographer whose work was published by Taschen under the curatorial guidance of the renowned Dian Hanson. Blanka promises to revive interest in his black-and-white photographs from the post-revolutionary period, but today’s art scene rejects them. She finds her father living alone in the middle of the woods. A bittersweet journey filled with humor and family tension pushes her to the limits of her strength. With the guidance of a therapist, she finds the strength to step out of the role of a wounded child and break the cycle of intergenerational trauma.
The Art of Listening – the film’s impact campaign
Love Exposed does not end with the closing credits. Together with the League of Open Men, we are developing the impact campaign The Art of Listening, focused on relationships between parents and their adult children, family patterns, and mental health.
We want to encourage audiences to see the film with their parents and open conversations they may have been postponing for years. The campaign also aims to destigmatize therapy and professional support, particularly among the older generation.
Screenings will be followed by moderated discussions, workshops, videos, educational materials, and an online resource hub offering verified sources of support. We believe that painful family patterns can be broken – and that change can begin with a single conversation and a willingness to truly listen to one another.
